When I sand, I imagine the termites must be in ecstasy. It’s food, falling from the sky, in to-go-sized tasty morsels. Generations from now, termite grandparents will tell the young’ns about the day when great heaping mounds of food came from above.

Being a curious person, like the ones around here, you’re probably wondering what other years between now and, say, 2034, in which a Friday the 13th will occur in October. Well, wonder no more. Jump on the nearest ‘nix box (or Mac) and run:

… And Other Other Matt had to fix my Apache config to make mod_rewrite work after I borked things trying to go live. I’ve been out-geeked. And now you know where I found out about WordPress.

R.I.P. Old Site

Well, I’ve decided to bring my website into the current decade. This is WordPress, and it Makes Things PrettyTM, something I can’t do writing html by hand with vim, fabulous as vim is.

My 466 MHz web server now runs this, my Gallery, and sites for Cath and Cody, who needs to shell out the $8 and buy a domain name. Before you complain about the speed, note that I am accepting all donations of Slot 1 Pentium IIIs. :-)

In case you’re wondering: no, the fact that I’m using blogging software doesn’t mean I’ll update the page every day. But I will update it more frequently as rants present themselves. And I’ll try to customize this monster a bit too, beyond the banner, which is dusk from my front yard a few months ago.

That’s it for the first post. Time to copy this sucker into webroot.
